Pamela Mitelman

Pamela Mitelman, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist
Clinical Director

 
 

Dr. Pamela Mitelman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Montreal, Canada. She treats children of all ages with sleep difficulties. Overall family wellness is at the center of her approach. Dr. Mitelman provides counseling and education to parents of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. She uses cognitive behavioral interventions to treat school age children and teens.

Dr. Mitelman is trained in Behavioral Sleep Medicine practices and is a member of the Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine (SBSB). She is involved in educating families and the public on the importance of restorative sleep. She is a contributor to parenting magazines such as ParentsCanada and Pink & Blue and often is a guest speaker on establishing healthy sleep habits in children.

 
Jamie Cassoff

Jamie Cassoff, PhD, Experimental Psychology
Research Director

 

Jamie Cassoff completed her PhD in experimental psychology at McGill University in Montreal where she was drawn to the importance of sleep for the emotional, cognitive and physical health of children. Following her PhD, she enrolled in the Family Sleep Institute sleep consulting program to further specialize in the sleep of babies, infants and young children. Between her expertise in the research field of pediatric sleep, her on-going commitment to higher education as a Professor in Psychology at Concordia University and her experience as a mother, she is well-equipped to improve the sleep and well-being of children and their families.

Paula Ruttle, PhD, Psychology

 

Paula Ruttle completed her PhD in Developmental Psychology at Concordia University. She began investigating the role of sleep disturbances in child mental and physical health during a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. She identifies the behavioural and environmental factors reinforcing maladaptive sleep habits and implements developmentally appropriate strategies to facilitate an easy and enjoyable bedtime routine and restful sleep. As a mother of two young children, she is committed to helping children and their families develop healthy sleep habits to promote mental and physical well-being for the entire family.

Hagit Malikin, MA
Psychology Intern
PhD Candidate, School/Applied Child Psychology

 

Hagit Malikin is currently completing her doctoral degree in the School/Applied Child Psychology program at McGill University. Her research focuses on examining the role of parental emotion socialization on children’s development and overall well-being.

As a psychology intern, Hagit works under the supervision of Dr. Pamela Mitelman and Jamie Cassoff, PhD. She uses a collaborative approach to help parents develop adaptive sleep skills and habits in their children. She makes it a priority to provide evidence-based and realistic recommendations for each family.

Tiffany Konov

Tiffany-Rose Konov is a Child Behaviour Specialist with hands-on experience working with families to help them navigate challenging situations and stressors. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Concordia University and a Child Behaviour Certification from The Early Years program, Tiffany has equipped herself with practical tools and knowledge to assist parents in raising happy, healthy children. Tiffany is currently completing her Master’s degree in Child Studies, reflecting her passion for understanding families’ well-being and children’s development. 

As the Clinic Coordinator, Tiffany is responsible for coordinating the staff and acting as the liaison with all clients. Additionally, she is in charge of marketing the clinic, its services, and its practitioners.
